“JUST”

Just

We’re just a month into the new year. And maybe we’re just thinking, “Why do I do it?” Why do I make those resolutions?”

Just why?

Maybe you’ve just stumbled and bumbled and fallen and sat down and cried, that what you’re trying to do is just too tough, or what you’re facing in just one month has you sighing or gasping for breath.

Well, just calm down.

Maybe we just need to stop trying to do/manage/handle/conquer/take care of all the stuff.

Maybe we should just give ourselves a break, a little self-compassion – being warm and supportive towards ourselves, actively soothing ourselves when we make a mistake, when we fail to hold onto those resolutions, or when the going gets rough.

It’s just time to embrace the difficulties, and even our floundering, with more acceptance, more forgiveness.

That it’s okay to take a nap, to sprawl on the couch, to binge watch “our show,” to eat a chocolate chip cookie (or two!), to play with Legos.

But for sure, it’s just time to live in all the ways …

in all these ways ….

Just LOVE. Just LAUGH. Just BE KIND. Just FORGIVE. Just SMILE. Just PRAY. Just PIZZA. Just HELP. Just GO FORWARD. Just SING. Just HUG. Just BLESS. Just REMEMBER. Just WAIT. Just HARMONIZE. Just BE PATIENT. Just PLAY. Just RELAX. Just SPARKLE. Just HANG ON. Just BELIEVE. Just CAKE. Just BE FRIENDLY. Just BEGIN. Just GIVE. Just ENCOURAGE. Just BE GRACIOUS. Just BE THANKFUL.

For each day in January, I posted one of these “JUST” on my Happy Day Moment Facebook Page. The favored ones were Relax and Hug and Go Forward … and Play… 🙂 …that just says a lot about what folks think during this first month of the new year …

So, let’s just make our success/accomplishments/happiness/presence … be defined by JUST LIVING WELL.

Mostly, we need to just LOVE…

Forgetting about our crumbled resolutions, mistakes, disagreements, expectations, differences, divisions, conflicts.

Maybe just, you know, being more benevolent – to ourselves and to others – being forgiving, broad-minded, tolerant, civil.

Being more humane…having qualities befitting human beings.

Just LOVE 2
